"Changing Regs... Changing Rules? What this means for your Organization"
Checks and their rapid and successful transition to image exchange have spawned many new image-enabled products and services. So what's the next step in seeking ways to further leverage the continuing evolution of the check payment? Many think it will be the electronification all the way to the check writer while still others believe that is already happening today. What changes could be coming based on the 2011 proposed changes to Reg CC to support these electronically created items? And how might these changes impact your business. Join us for a fast-paced session that looks at new ideas for exchanging payments using that familiar check but one that is no longer tethered to its paper past.

This guidance expands the measures financial institutions need to take to protect Internet banking customers from online fraud. Financial Institutions are now required to implement stronger layered security to protect against today's threats. We will discuss highlights of the new guidance including: Risk assessments, Layered Security, User Education and which technology will meet the demands.

"The Repeal of Reg Q"
Treasurers who thought the ambitious Dodd-Frank financial reform bill would not disrupt routine cash management operations are getting a wake-up call. While over-the-counter derivatives rules and rating agency regulation attracted the most attention from treasury pros in the run-up to the bill's passage, they are now discovering that the repeal of Regulation Q could change how they deal with overnight account balances. Now banks are free to pay interest on corporate checking account balances for the first time since the Depression. With interest-bearing accounts paying 25 basis points or less, permitting banks to pay interest on checking account balances doesn't look too important, but when interest rates move up, the elimination of Reg Q, combined with FDIC transaction account guarantee programs, will cause a major competitive dislocation. It could profoundly affect the flow of capital and the risk profile of banks.
- Jill Capicchioni, AAP, CUA, Channel Manager, FIS Global

"Computer and Network Intrusion"
Cyber Crimes are a part of our daily lives today, yet many do not understand the impact of these frauds. Security Experts agree that it's not a matter of if your network will be breached, but a matter of when and how devastating the damage. The result of Cyber Crimes today is escalating fraud throughout all payment systems, mounting losses, and lost reputations. This session evaluates current methods criminals use to infect business, consumer and financial institution networks and computers in order to facilitate financial fraud and steal confidential data. The program concludes with suggestions for financial institutions to mitigate the threats.

Most data security practitioners and information security groups within organizations are aware of the value and benefits derived from using tokenization - both on-premise and cloud-based - including its effectiveness for protecting credit card numbers and Personally Identifiable Information (PII). However, many organizations face integration challenges while implementing tokenization. Peter will detail the business and security benefits of tokenization. He will explain why it's important, the differences between on-premise and cloud-based tokenization solutions, what IT professionals need to consider in terms of infrastructure requirements when implementing it and detail approaches to implementing tokenization.
